Credit Union Staff Comfortable with Digital Conferences

“We wanted to host an event many of our clients could attend and decided the best way to do that
under the economic circumstances was through the Internet,” said TMG’s Aris Jerahian, vice
president of client relations. “As it turns out, attendance exceeded our expectations and
participating credit unions indicated that they were looking forward to more online conferences in
the future.”
According to TMG’s survey, 96 percent of attendees said they would be interested in participating
in a future Webinar session or virtual conference.
Each of the four virtual sessions – held on topics ranging from the CARD Act of 2009 to
managing fraud risk – received a “satisfied” or “very satisfied” ranking from at least 85 percent of
attendees.
“Keeping up-to-date on the latest in payment products, fraud prevention and card regulations is
important to our credit union,” said Bob Hoefer, CEO of Dubuque, Iowa-based Dupaco
Community Credit Union. “So when TMG announced its virtual client conference, our team
appreciated the opportunity for education without the expense of travel.”
TMG plans to resume the on-site conference schedule next year and has planned the 2010 Client
