Credit Unions Select ATIRAgift Program
TMG (The Members Group) has announced seven new credit unions from around the country will be offering Visa-branded ATIRAgiftSM cards to their memberships this holiday season.
CASE Credit Union (Lansing, Mich.), First Financial Credit Union (Albuquerque, N.M.), First Future Credit Union (San Diego, Calif.), Kansas State University FCU (Manhattan, Kan.), Lennox Employees Credit Union (Marshalltown, Iowa); Members 1st Community Credit Union (Marshalltown, Iowa); and Public Service Employees Credit Union (Denver, Colo.) have recently signed with TMG to offer the reseller gift card program.
“The ATIRAgift card program appeals to credit unions because it leverages the economies of scale provided by a generic reseller program. Plus, it gives them the opportunity to boost their brand by having their logo prominently displayed on the front of the plastic,” said Jeff Falk, director of product development. “The overall ATIRAgift product offers flexibility. Many of the credit unions are starting with the basic program to hit the ground running with the idea that they will grow into a customized issuer solution as the needs of their members change.”
TMG launched the ATIRAgift card product in 2005 to meet the growing possibilities of the prepaid market for credit unions. It is a part of the larger ATIRA prepaid product that includes reloadable solutions such as the ATIRApaySM card.
“The gift card is a retail product, probably more than any other product a credit union offers,” Falk said. “Larger credit unions with multiple branches have the opportunity to sell a lot of cards, however, smaller credit unions with fewer branches can also do well when they market the gift cards to their members. ATIRAgift is designed so credit unions of all sizes can be successful. This is largely in part because we have an out of the box solution, as well as a robust issuer solution to choose from.”
Currently, 55 credit unions representing 362 branches offer ATIRAgift cards.
