TMG Achieves Visa USA Cardholder Information Security Program Compliance
May 6, 2008
TMG (The Members Group) has achieved compliance with the Visa USA Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). By achieving CISP compliance, TMG is approved by Visa as meeting the most recent Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards for safeguarding sensitive data.
The CISP program aims to secure Visa cardholders data wherever it resides, requiring that members, merchants and service providers maintain the highest information security standards.
"The Members Group is committed to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of cardholder data for our clients and their members, and this recognition underscores our commitment to data security," said Tony Schwarz, TMG’s director of risk management. "We are honored that our diligence in following the highest security requirements has earned us the esteemed compliance with CISP."
CISP compliance requires that service providers must first adhere to the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, a set of 12 industry-wide requirements designed to protect sensitive information from being compromised. To achieve compliance, TMG submitted to an independent security audit to confirm adherence of all 12 requirements.
