TMG's ATIRAgift Card Wins Paybefore Award
TMG’s ATIRAgiftSM card program has been announced as a Paybefore award winner in the “Best Materials Design and Presentation” category for its 2007 holiday marketing campaign titled Busy Holiday.
As a Paybefore award winner, TMG is now eligible for the additional honor of Category Best Winner to be announced at the 2008 Prepaid Card Expo in Las Vegas on March 4. TMG will go head-to-head with the two other winners in the category – Americhip and Green Dot – to be named “Best in Category.”
“It’s exciting to be recognized for our hard work,” said Jeff Falk, TMG director of product development. “We strive to help our credit unions successfully compete in the prepaid market – not only with the ATIRAgift design but with supporting marketing materials as well. To be recognized next to some big names in the prepaid industry, it’s validation that we understand the product and how to market it.”
The winners, three in each category, represent outstanding achievement in their respective fields.
“This year’s nominations were remarkable for the quality of the products, services and programs they represent, and every category was extraordinarily competitive. In truth, many more nominees deserve to be recognized for their innovation, creativity and execution,” said Marilyn Bochicchio, president of Paybefore. “Because of the large number of outstanding entries, judging was extraordinarily challenging. I can tell you that originality, penetration into new market segments and comprehensiveness of execution weighed heavily in the decisions. Appropriate metrics contributed to the success of some entries, as did the quality and thoroughness of the information provided as part of the nomination package.”
Falk noted the “Busy Holiday” campaign embodied creativity and new market penetration because TMG markets solely to credit unions – which are typically not early adopters of new products.
“This marketing campaign demonstrated ATIRAgift card program as a flexible, turn-key product that could give the credit unions a way to compete with other gift card retailers,” he said.
The ATIRAgift Busy Holiday campaign started in late September 2007 and encouraged credit unions to start an ATIRAgift program in time for the holiday season. TMG provided support to each participating credit union in the form of marketing and program solutions. A kit including Web banners, statement inserts, lobby posters, table tents and images for custom pieces was made available for marketing the program to consumers.
