Jeff Russell
Jeff Russell is Senior Advisor at TMG. In this role, Jeff plays an active role in the business strategy and new initiatives for TMG, as well as overseeing TMG’s technology and product development areas. He also leads the strategic partnership and investment in Dwolla Corp. for TMG, as well as serves on the Dwolla board of directors. Jeff has held a variety of roles for more than 20 years of service with TMG, including executive oversight of product development, finance, technology, operations and risk management. This includes leading critical change and growth areas within the organization, as well as driving the launching of new products and entering new markets for the company.
Jeff also serves in dual roles with TMG Financial Services and Affiliates Management Company (AMC). He is the President and CEO for TMG Financial Services, a company that works with credit unions and their credit card program in an agent-issuing partnership. He also serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of AMC, a holding company that owns all or part of six financial services companies, including The Members Group, TMG Financial Services, Coopera Consulting, PolicyWorks, Community Business Lenders and PayFusion.
In Jeff’s role as President and CEO for TMG Financial Services, he is accountable for the overall strategic direction and ultimately responsible for the portfolio performance and growth of the company. He oversees the marketing, portfolio management, capital management, finance and business development components for the company. Jeff was instrumental in launching the endeavor in 2007 and building it into a successful company that today manages a credit card portfolio in excess of $110 million.
In his role as Chief Strategy Officer for AMC, Jeff is responsible for working with AMC’s operating companies to ensure strategic alignment, as well as searching out new opportunities in the financial services marketplace.
Jeff is active in a number of associations focusing on collaboration and growth initiatives. Jeff has also been a speaker at conferences and led planning sessions on innovation and the future of the financial services industry.
He is involved in various community organizations, including the Rotary Club of Des Moines A.M., Iowa Habitat for Humanity and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Des Moines.
